Not trying to hijack the thread, but this sounds similar to my own user's experiences. It's also seemingly random with emails from the same sender not disappearing at all. It will simply disappear, not to be found in any other folder including Junk Mail or Deleted items folder. The symptoms are exactly the same, however: the email will hit her inbox and after a few seconds, often while she's reading it. * A second account was set up and the same emails sent to both accounts. * All on-prem Exchange logs show normal traversal & delivery and junk mail settings shut off for her account * Antivirus shows nothing in logs and nothing in quarantine * Outlook has been blown back to factory defaults and gone through first time startup connection wizard (no new settings, rules, or third party plugins) * Email account is no longer on her phone (so can't be affecting it) It took me a while to figure out what seemed to be happening.Subbing to this post because I have one user experiencing the same thing, but on her desktop in Outlook. #Why do emails disappear on my iphone update#
I never had that problem until I made the most recent update to OS 11.3.1. What seems to be happening is that when email messages are removed from my server (I have my main computer set up so that messages will be removed from the server a certain number of days after they've been delivered to that computer), the messages are disappearing from my iPhone. From there I selected "advanced", thinking I might find it, but found settings that are set the way I have always had them (how to handle deleted Mail etc.) Selecting my email account took me to all the info about the account (incoming and outgoing server & email address), but no sync option. When I selected my email account I did not find Mail Days to Sync. I followed your instructions and went into Settings>Accounts & Passwords.
